On Friday, I went on a field Trip with the Parkland program to the military academy. We were going to the obstacle course. Some of these obstacle Courses looked impossible but, I tried hard and accomplished mostly all of them. After that, we went to CiCi’s Pizza and I was so happy to finally get some food.

My Poem Creation

No Looking Back

People say mean things about me
I pretend I don’t even care
But when someone tries to help me
I cry like no ones there
I remember to follow my dreams
No matter how hard it seems
It makes me look forward not to look back
to the things that made me sad
Because in the future I will grow
to be more then anyone could ever know

Its all About me

Hey, I am Mary Latoya Winford; I am 14 years old; I was born on April 6, 1996 in Winston- Salem, North Carolina. My parents are Gwendolyn Winford and Arthur Winford. I have one brother named Arthur Winford, he was named after my Dad. During my years; I have changed much since being a little kid. Now; I am in 9th grade going to Parkland High School. The way I have changed is for one I am taller; I got taller when I grew up. When I was in Elementary, I was like 4ft tall and tall now I’m like 5/7. I weigh more now because of my growing, and I am smarter from learning and going through different grade levels. I went from Kindergarten to 9th Grade, and I went to Easton Elementary School. Then I went to Clemmons middle school and now I’m about to go to Parkland High school. I’m hoping high school will be great.
What motivates me is that learning more can get you to college; and there you can be anything as long as you try hard to succeed. How that changed me is that it makes me try even harder. It makes me pay more attention in school. I used to didn’t pay much attention; and now I am trying harder to reach my goals. What I want to be is singer and if that doesn’t work out, a kindergarten teacher; I’m going to work hard on both.
